My best weight loss advice


You’re looking at your body naked in the mirror.

And while you are looking at yourself, you’re focusing on all your imperfections wishing you had better looking abs, legs and a firmer butt.

And then you say to yourself, I need to lose weight.  I need to go on a diet.


Forget about weight loss.  Weight loss is temporary and it won’t give you the results you want.

I promise you that the next “miracle in a bottle” touted by a celebrity physician you see on TV is NOT your answer…

And neither is the next miracle diet.

C’mon.  You’re smarter than that, yet, you fall for this crap time and time again only to lose dollars and not “weight”.  You know this stuff doesn’t work and if it really did, the weight loss industry wouldn’t be the multi-million dollar industry it is and everyone would be walking around with their ultimate dream body.

I’m going to help cut through all the bullshit and tell you straight up what you need to do.

Your first mistake is focusing your mind on “weight loss”.

Going forward, I want you to focus on your health.

I know, that’s not quite as sexy as the latest miracle fat burning pill but hang with me.

1.  Do not go on a “diet”. “Diets” are so negative and your subsconcious mind begins to tell you that your are depriving yourself and punishing yourself and you end up “cheating” on your diet.They are also temporary and unsustainable simply because most “diets” have you cutting back on a particular food group that you will end up craving.

Instead, I want you to focus on nutrition.  Eat foods that contribute to your health, not “weight loss”.  Your body needs all essential nutrients to function properly.

When you eliminate foods, you are eliminating essential nutrients which leaves you feeling weak, fatigued, slowing down your metabolism, weakening your immune system and leaving you more susceptible to colds and flu.

When you focus on consuming REAL foods that contribute to your health on a daily basis for the rest of your life, you will find that weight loss is no longer a concern, you’re not starving yourself, and you don’t feel deprived.  You actually feel good, energetic and alert.

2.  Nothing is better for the mind, body, and overall health than exercise. The best way to nourish your body physically and mentally is to hit the iron, aka, lift weights.

There are so many health benefits to lifting weights that are too numerous to mention.Strong is sexy for both men and women and the best way to give your body the shape you want is simply by lifting weights.

You should be hitting the gym consistently at 3-4 times a week and your workouts should not last more than an hour if your are working out efficiently and with intensity.When you exercise in this fashion you are burning calories and revving up your metabolism.

When you eat, you eat to fuel your body and “feed the machine”.  By doing so, you will find that your body doesn’t feel as though it’s been hit by a truck, you feel strong and energetic.  You will also discover that you have better quality of sleep as well.

3.  Take time to relax, unplug, unwind, and quiet the mind.  Chronic stress can lead to health problems, rob you of your energy and lead to weight gain.  I highly recommend you take time every day for yourself to unwind and unplug.

Here are some ways you can de-stress:

Listen to your favorite music
Watch a movie

Personally, I don’t find TV relaxing and watching the news is far from relaxing as it spews nothing more than negativity and propaganda….but that’s for another story on another day.

And there you have it. As I like to tell people, focus on your health and everything else falls in line.
